Walk-a-Thon to Mother’s Day Returns to Advance Research Across Canada

TORONTO, ON –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– Breast Cancer Canada’s highly anticipated annual Walk-a-Thon to Mother’s Day returns this spring to advance breast cancer research. This year, Naturally Vain proudly joins as the presenting sponsor, helping drive real progress for families affected by breast cancer across the country.

For moms like Laura Montgomery, the Mother’s Day Walk holds a deeply personal meaning. Diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at just 30 years old, she first discovered a lump herself but was repeatedly told she was too young for cancer.

“Six years ago, my world changed when I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer,” said Montgomery. “Thanks to the power of research, I’ve had access to treatments that have given me time I never thought I’d have. I want that for every person facing breast cancer. Every dollar raised moves us closer to more breakthroughs—that’s why I am walking this Mother’s Day in Mississauga.”

This Mother’s Day, participants will walk in support of life-changing breast cancer research, raising funds to drive new discoveries and improve outcomes for those affected by the disease.
