ST. THOMAS, ON –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– Plug’n Drive, a leading non-profit organization committed to accelerating electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Canada, is excited to announce the arrival of its Mobile EV Education Trailer (MEET) in St. Thomas. It will bring a number of new all-electric vehicles over various days for anyone EV-curious to test drive and ask questions of trained Plug‘n Drive EV Ambassadors, many of which are EV owners themselves.
This initiative is part of the EVs are for Everyone Cross-Canada Tour, aiming to increase public awareness and knowledge about electric vehicles.
MEET St. Thomas is proudly hosted by NAPA Auto Parts – NAPA St. Thomas, a trusted name in automotive parts and service. This partnership ensures visitors not only gain first-hand experience driving an EV but also learn about the evolving EV maintenance and repair landscape.
“We are excited to welcome the public to Plug’n Drive’s Mobile EV Education Trailer (MEET) here at our store in St. Thomas,” said Franz Peters, manager at the St. Thomas NAPA Auto Parts. “We’re delighted to help the Plug’n Drive team demonstrate a range of modern EVs, and answer any questions on buying, owning or charging electric vehicles.”
“Nearby, our network includes NAPA AUTOPRO Gurr Auto, which is a NexDrive-certified facility, meaning it is an independent repair shop that has access to expertise and the largest inventory of parts in the country, including for plug-in and hybrid electric vehicles,” adds Peters. “Arrow Motors is also a local NAPA AutoPro, and pre-owned vehicle dealer as well.”
Electric vehicles available to test drive at MEET St. Thomas are scheduled to include:
Use the Find Your Match tool on the Plug’n Drive website to learn about these vehicles and others available in Canada. Discover the EV that fits your lifestyle, see how it compares to a gas vehicle, and find out how much you can save.
“Test driving an EV is often a major eye-opener, and a key part of the decision-making journey for anyone considering an electric vehicle,” said Cara Clairman, President and CEO of Plug’n Drive. “With all the uncertainty around vehicle prices and tariffs recently, the EVs are for Everyone Tour allows potential EV buyers to sample vehicles and receive information with a variety of EV models and options, plus ask questions about charging—all in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.”
If you can’t attend MEET St. Thomas, there is also an EV Roadshow scheduled nearby, with potentially more events on the way:
EVs are for Everyone Tour events offer EV test drives, expert consultations, and information on charging, the economic and environmental benefits of EVs, and how to choose the right EV for your needs.
