OTTAWA, ON –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– BioTalent Canada proudly announces Trisha Aldovino as the recipient of the 2024 Catalyst Award for Top New Hire. Ms. Aldovino earned this achievement through her transformative contributions to her role at Azura Associates International and the company’s workplace culture. Since its inception in 2015, BioTalent Canada’s Catalyst Award has celebrated outstanding achievements by young talent nationwide.
Azura Associates International Inc., known for its advisory services and sustainable energy projects, hired Ms. Aldovino through BioTalent Canada’s Science Horizons Youth Internship Program. This program receives financial support from the Government of Canada through the federal Department of Environment and Climate Change. Since joining the team, she has significantly enhanced the company culture and public engagement efforts by implementing team-building events, fostering a more connected environment, and leveraging social media channels like YouTube to build brand awareness.

About Science Horizons Youth Internship Program:
The Science Horizons Youth Internship Program provides wage subsidies to eligible employers across Canada to hire recent university, college and polytechnic graduates for internships in the environmental science, technology, engineering and mathematics sectors. It covers the cost of a participant’s salary by 80% up to a maximum of $25,000. The Science Horizons Youth Internship Program is an Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) program facilitated in part by Biotalent Canada. ECCC is one of the many federal departments, agencies, and Crown Corporations that deliver Government of Canada’s Youth Employment Skills Strategy intiative. The program helps bio-economy and healthcare employers hire the talent they need and help graduates gain skills to secure full-time employment in environmental fields.
In addition to the wage subsidy contribution, employers may be eligible up to a maximum of $5,000 for training, skills development, and/or wrap-around services.
