WHITBY, ON –/COMMUNITYWIRE/– About 300 full-time municipal workers in the Town of Whitby have been on strike since October 14 over scheduling and hours.

Who:
Town of Whitby municipal workers, members of CUPE Local 53.

What:
Striking municipal workers have formed a picket line and call on the Town of Whitby to put pressure on the employer to scrap its demands for unnecessary concessions.

Town Hall, 575 Rossland Road East, Whitby
